Tarot

Second horror movie together nina Marian at Dennis itong Tarot, since they have been paired in a past horror film, Pamahiin. First together nila ito to work with former award-winning writer and script-writer Jun Lana, who is a Bicolano pala. Direk Jun grew up in Victory Village, Legaspi. Since we also grew up in Bicol, we asked Direk Jun kung paano siya nagkaroon ng fascination for horror stories and films, saman-talang in Legaspi, in particular, horror things are selcom discussed. As a teenager pala, until he became an adult, avid viewer siya ng mga horror films, kabilang na ang Psycho. Second horror movie na idinirek niya itong Tarot, since siya rin ang nama-hala ng Kutob, which Regal Entertainment also produced. The idea to do a horror movie on Tarot came from Roselle Monteverde-Teo, who is now managing Regal Films. Before writing the script of the movie, he and his team, ayon kay Direk Jun, made a thorough research on tarot. In fact, the reason why, in Tarot, they decided not to use the ordinary tarot cards but instead came up with their own version of cards because may fear daw silang ang mga, wika nga’y, elements involved sa tunay na cards na kanilang gagamitin ay mga active pa. “Mahirap nang magbakasakali,” ani Direk Jun.How horrifying is Tarot? “Basta maraming eksenang manginginig ka sa takot. Kasi, bawat element sa card na lumabas ay nagkakaroon ng buhay. Kaya, maraming effects and pelikulang ito,” ani Direk Jun. “Kaya, maituturing ito na rare horror movie.”
